I checked out Plato’s Closet in my recent trip to Dallas, TX. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s an affordable consignment shop where you can buy and sell your new and/or fairly used fashion items. My first impression of the store was that it was nicely organized and designed. It could definitely pass as a regular clothing store, similar to stores like Rainbow or Mandee’s, but here you can find non-brand items to designer brands for good prices. At first, I wasn’t really seeing anything I really like until towards the end of my shopping trip. I found a couple of things that I just couldn’t put down!
The first thing I found was this skinny studded belt for $3.
I’ve been really needing a black belt. I still want to shop around for a plain
and wider one but this one will do for now.
The next thing I found was in the clearance section of 70%
off. So I got this lacey tank top for $1.80. That’s cheaper than a bag of
chips!
The purse section had so many cute little bags and wallets
but I made sure not to overhaul and picked up just one for $4. This one is really
small, but it’s perfect for time when I just want to carry a few necessities.

I found myself back in the shorts/skirts section for a
double check and I’m so glad I did because I found these floral patterned
shorts. I wasn’t planning on spending $10 on a pair of shorts, especially in
the middle of January, but I loved these and being that they are from Free
People I couldn’t pass them up! I’ve always loved Free People clothing but of
course they are way out of my price range.
I spotted these dresses and instantly had to try them on. After recently cleaning out my closet, I realized I need to update my dresses since I can’t see myself wearing some of them anymore. These two are both perfect for summer events, one for daytime and the other for night. I couldn’t decide between them so I just got both for $14 each.
Lastly, I found this men’s shirt on my way to
the fitting room. I had been looking for a good flannel that whole time and this
one just appeared out of nowhere. It was also a clearance item for $3. I really like the pattern and oversized look
of it. You can never have too many flannels!

I love those shorts! I actually have a few coupons to my local Plat's Closet, so I definitely want to stop by soon to look around. :)

Thanks! I'm so glad I found them. I didn't know they give coupons, sadly my nearest Plato's Closets are an hour drive away, so it'll be a long while before I can go again.

I LOVE the shirt! We don't really have those kind of stores in the UK, but I wish we did... I could spend hours just looking!
