Spring OOTD

As our fellow NYC people may know the weather has been so bi-polar lately, but today we had that perfect spring weather. And although we didn't get to spend it the way we would have liked (being stuck in school basically all day) we still enjoyed the beautiful weather, and decided to share our outfits.

Botanical Break

So school started again for us, last Thursday to be precise. We once again get to live that oh-so-fun academic life -____- so, if we miss some posts we're sorry. Anyways, this week we headed over to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens for a (super) short trip, conflicting schedules are such a dread!

Happy Anniversary to Us!

 Yesterday made us one year old! Whoop Whoop! A year ago we posted our very first post ever. It was a styling post where we styled floral pants and mustard shorts. Check it out here. Although it's only been a year and and we don't really have a following, we're super thankful to anyone who comments and shows support. We hope to continue to grow and we'd love if you'd come along with us!

High Line Limbo

We took another chance at discovering our beloved city, and adventured over to the High Line! It's a park in the sky that used to be an old railroad track that carried freight through the West Side. It was on the verge of being destroyed but lucky for us, it was rescued and can now serve as a spot to relax and take in nature and art in the middle of the busy city. It's truly amazing discovering things in your own hometown (well okay, not exactly "hometown" but you guys get it). If you're ever in the Big Apple give it a look.

It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Last Sunday, my youth group held a bake sale to fund raise for American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. It was a great turn out! I was skeptical at first but even random strangers were generous enough to make donations. We know we will make a difference in the fight to end breast cancer. Even though I don't personally know anyone that has suffered from the disease, it's something many women have or still suffer from and people need to be made aware.

So we’ve been thinking and we thought we’d make the last Tuesday or Friday in each month our current favorites, so why not start off with September. No long intro this week, but here’s 10 of our favorites for September.

Thrifting| Church Thrift Finds

Over the weekend, my church held its annual thrift store sale to raise money for scholarship funds for graduating seniors who are going on to college. Last June, I received my scholarship, which was highly needed and appreciated, so I think this is a great thing they're doing.

So I was in charge of the jewelry/accessories table, and I think I did a pretty good job selling, considering how cheap we priced the items. Before everything was gone, I made sure to grab hold of the items I had my eye on from the night before. Although, i missed out on a couple of things

Thank you, thank you! We're so honored. We just wanna thank... *sniff sniff*...our moms and dads, for being...I'm sorry give us a moment :'( Loll. Nah, just kidding. But wow we were surprised to receive not one, but two nominations from Blueprint of A Girl and Jo's Nook. Thank you guys! We're gonna do the first nomination, though, because we're pretty sure nobody wants to read 40 answers to 20 questions. 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

Woo! I'm finally 18 and legal!! I can duz stuffs now :3 (not really though, turning 18 means nothing from my parents point of view. Lol. Just means I'm a year older like any other birthday) Which is fine by me. Anyways, today overall was a fun day, well-spent with a couple of my closest friends and my family.
